China Popcorn

I saw this on the backstreets of shanghai, I call it chinese popcorn, ….you could hear it from a half mile away, so I had to go see what was making all that noise!!

    To all of you wondering why they use this technique, it allows even popping. So all of the kernels pop and you get no leftovers. It also prevents burning of the first kernels that popped.

    @ShockForce612 yeah they get pressure cooker to 10 atmospheres and the sudden release of pressure makes the water inside the grains evaporate instantly..

    Saw it on streets of Korea and Japan as well. They use it to make rice cakes (the crunchy types) and the like. I love em!
